A tentative model for the study of collective bargaining. Formulation as a result of developing a sample of collective agreements (in Catalan)

MA Thesis, 2007.

This work explains in a very detailed manner the whole process of developing a stratified random sample from the concrete example of the construction of a sample of collective agreements. The document stresses the need to substantiate theoretically the statistical operations carried out from the appropriate analytical models and theoretical frameworks considered more relevant. This will give examples can serve as a model for the construction of other samples, of how to link empirical and conceptual levels when developing stratified random samples. The main objective of this paper is to point the requirement of breaking practically with the traditional division between conceptual and empirical work, entirely unquestioned in the field of theory of sampling and sociological methodology, since the statistician or the sociologist never explains the theoretical basis for the most basic technical operations he performs.
